Photography contest cover fair program canceled
The Estepona City Council has announced the 3rd Photography Competition 'Cover of the Cancelada Fair program 2026'.
The deputy mayor for the outlying areas, Begoña Ortíz, explained that participants in this contest can submit photographs that represent a moment experienced, a memory, or a manifesto of joy and fun at the Cancelada fair.
The submission period for photographs will be open from May 6th to 29th. The submitted photographs will be on display in the multipurpose room of the Cancelada Town Hall.
There will be a single prize of 150 euros for the winning photograph, which will be featured on the cover of this year's fair program. In addition, Frutas Infantes will award the winner a fruit basket valued at 100 euros.
The rules for participation are as follows:
1. The competition is open to anyone, professional or amateur photographer.
2. Each participant must submit two copies of a single original and unpublished photograph, one in color and one in black and white, and a JPEG file.
3. The theme will be 'Cancelled Fair 2026'.
4. Style and technique will be free.
5. The size of the photographs will be A4.
6. The submission period for works will remain open from May 6 to 29.
7. Delivery will be made at the deputy mayor's office, located at 54 Montemayor Street. Telephone 952 88 37 85.
8. It must be submitted in an envelope that shows on the outside:
-Photography Contest 'Cover of the Cancelada Neighborhood Fair program 2026, and a pseudonym of the author. Inside, a copy of the ID, current address and contact telephone number must be included.
9. The jury will select the works that will be exhibited to the public in the multipurpose room of the Deputy Mayor's Office of Cancelada until the jury's decision.
10. A competent jury appointed by the City Council will choose the winning photograph, whose decision will be final, and the prize may be left unappealed.
The jury's decision will be made on June 12, at the election ceremony for the Queens and Ladies of the Cancelada Fair 2026.
11. The City Council will award a single prize of 150 euros, in addition to a fruit basket offered by Frutas Infantes and valued at 100 euros.
12. Regarding the winning work, the City Council will have all the economic rights of intellectual property inherent to said creation, as well as the rights of use, reproduction, transformation and dissemination, without time limitation, becoming part of the Municipal Artistic Heritage.
13. Participation in this call implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, which can be consulted on the website www.estepona.es and on the Notice Board of the Tenencia de Cancelada.
