Estepona, September 5, 2023.- The Estepona City Council informs that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next Thursday, September 14, at 6:00 p.m. , the exhibition of paintings 'Pétalos', by the Murcian artist Laura Molina.
Nature and everyday gestures are topics that greatly interest the artist, since, for her, the creative process is born from observation and deep reflection of the world around us.
The exhibition consists of a total of 37 works, mostly watercolors, and can be visited until September 27, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free access.
Laura Molina began her artistic career as a decorator (School of Applied Arts and Artistic Trades. Murcia 1992-1996), but her steps gradually led towards painting and drawing (Istituto per l'Arte e il Restauro, Palazzo Spinelli. Firenze 1998) by the hand, among others, of the painter Miguel Fabruccini and, later, with the painter Pedro Cano (Blanca) in the course “The Architecture of the Sea” (Cartagena 2004).
Over the years he combined the creation of murals with individual and group exhibitions.
He has also made the cover of the book 'From Cabo (de Palos) to (la) Manga (del Mar Menor)', by author Jose Luis Domínguez. Illustrations for the book '12 trees', commemorative edition of the forestry engineer Ricardo Codorníu y Starico, editors of the CreeCT association, and illustration in the 'Heritage Book', edited by the official chroniclers of Cartagena (in publication).
