The Estepona Town Hall informs that the next 3 and 4 February, the musical version of the classic of universal literature, "Germinal", by Émile Zola, a production of La Barbarie Musical, will be performed at the Felipe VI Auditorium, under the direction by Jose Felix Romero.
Both performances will begin at 7:00 p.m., and will feature live music conducted by the Moguer Lyceum Symphonic Band.
Germinal is a classical musical written by Iván Macías and Félix Amador, based on the immortal novel of the same name written by Émile Zola. It is a musical version of this universal literature classic, of which 5 film adaptations have been made, the most famous being the one starring Gérard Depardieu in 1993. The facts on which the story is based (love, social struggle , salary cuts...) are current and, at the same time, eternal.
Étienne Lantier, an idealistic young man, arrives in a mining town in the North of France. Look for work. His encounter with this primitive society, ignorant and subjugated to the fate of the mine, will open his eyes to a new world. The news of the birth of the workers' struggle inspired him to direct his life towards the defense of the rights of the miners. His love for a young miner and the interests of the powerful will complicate his mission until dragging him to a tragic end.
Tickets are on sale at www.tafestepona.com, Agencia López (Estepona) and at the Auditorium box office on the day of the performance, from two hours before the start.
