Summer tour canelita says bamba
The Estepona City Council informs that the Plaza de Toros will host next Saturday, August 7, at 10:30 p.m., the concert of the singer CANELITA, on his summer tour Dice Bamba. Presents Mariano Heredia, from Gipsy Kings.
The Algecirean artist will be accompanied by RVFV, Moncho Chavea, Original ElÃas, Sami Duque, MarÃa Toledo and the Baptist Sisters.
Jonathan Vera "Canelita" was born in 1989 in the La Bajadilla neighborhood, in Algeciras. There, in the same streets where the great teacher Paco de LucÃa, still a child, illuminated his art, Canelita discovers that he possesses the gift of the voice. There we listen to him, sitting on the step of a staircase in front of his house, singing the black sounds of old songs. Canelita breathes fandangos and bulerÃas, her favorite cantes, but also rumba and tangos.
Since he was little, linked to artists of the stature of Morenito de Ãllora, Manzanita was the one who gave him the name Canelita, when in the recording of the album 'Tribute to the Chinese of Malaga' he heard it and said this child is 'fine canela', and since then the name of Canelita stayed.
His first work 'Vivo errante' (2004), was published as a child and was a revelation within the flamenco world. He is a wise man of ancient and modern cante… His records cross borders and his followers number in the thousands.
