Photo exhibition: "nuestro cole in times of viruses"

The Estepona City Council informs that room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de Las Flores, will host from next Thursday, February 25, at 4:30 p.m., the exhibition of photographs' Our school in times of Coronavirus', by Michael Arce.

Through 13 images, the Costa Rican photographer living in Estepona tries to show the eviction caused by the pandemic in the Simón Fernández school, and the changes that this entails for the return of the students to the classrooms.

The exhibition can be visited until March 11, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 18:00, with free access. Once completed, the photographs will remain in the school facilities.

Michael Arce was born in Costa Rica in March 1980. At the age of 15, he began his artistic career as a dancer, becoming part of several professional Latin American dance groups.

In 2000 he began Dramatic Arts at the University of Costa Rica, while venturing into glass art. After passing through the United States, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he began and deepened in the world of photography as a result of the birth of his children, working as a professional photographer at concerts and fashion events.

In 2017 he settled on the Costa del Sol with his family, where he works in the world of fashion. In addition to collaborating in publications from different countries, he has served as an official photographer for prestigious international and national competitions, such as Miss World Germany 2018, Marbella Fashion Week 2018 and 2019, or Granada Fashion Week 2019, among others.

His passion for black and white photography has encouraged him to make his first exhibition 'Our school in the time of Coronavirus'.
