Patron saint festivities san isidro labrador 2022
The Estepona City Council informs that this Sunday the festivities in honor of San Isidro Labrador will begin with the celebration of the traditional pilgrimage in the Los Pedregales park.
The beginning of the pilgrimage to the hermitage of the Patron Saint will begin at 08:00 in the morning from the parish of San José. The images of San Isidro Labrador and Santa María de la Cabeza will be accompanied by a significant number of floats, groups of verdiales and horsemen who will make a floral offering to the Holy Matrimony upon arrival at their hermitage.
As a novelty, this year along the way monoliths will be discovered with the twelve most significant miracles of the more than 400 attributed to San Isidro.
Other activities will be held throughout Sunday, such as the Open Doors Day with free guided tours of the Corominas Dolmen Center, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
At 12:00 noon the Angelus will be prayed on the way to the hermitage, at 6:00 p.m. a pilgrimage mass will be celebrated and at 9:00 p.m. there will be a thanksgiving prayer to the Patron. At 1:00 p.m. the dance floor will be inaugurated with live music.
The festivities will continue next week with the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of San Isidro, which will take place from May 10 to 15 with the following program of events:

Tuesday 10
* 7:00 p.m.: Great Cavalcade of Joy of Giants and Big Heads through the streets of the city. With departure from the public school Víctor de la Serna.
* 10:00 pm: Inauguration of the Amusement Park which will be attended by authorities and the Queens and Maids of Honor for Children and Youth. It will be accompanied by the Municipal Music Band. Later, the official presidency ball will be held in the Official Booth.
* 11:30 p.m.: Entertainment music with a DJ. In the Official Booth
Children's Day will be celebrated, courtesy of the Brotherhood and the owners of the attractions, the price of these will have a 50% discount for the benefit of users.
Wednesday 11
* 10.30 am: Malaga goat cheese making workshop, by the Sierra Crestellina de Casares Cheese Factory. The Víctor de la Serna and Simón Fernández schools will participate. In the Official Booth.
* 5:00 p.m.: Demonstration of how objects made with pleita are made. In the Official Booth.
* 5:30 pm: Children's Party for the little ones, with face-painting, balloon twisting, singing-games... In the Official Booth.
* 10:30 p.m.: Entertainment music with a DJ. In the Official Booth.
Thursday, 12
* 6:00 p.m.: Picnic for the older peasants of the town, which will feature a performance by the dance group of Mónica Peña. The choir 'Los Jubis' and the musical group Amores del Sur. In the Official Booth.
* 10:30 pm: Dance with the musical orchestra Latidos: In the Municipal Booth.
Friday the 13th

* 9:00 pm: Performance of the flamenco show 'La Milana'. In the Official Booth.

Sunday 15
* 00.00 hours: Announcement of the Great Day of Estepona and Beginning of the Jubilee Holy Year of San Isidro Labrador. Twelve rockets will announce the name day of the Patron Saint of Estepona.
* 08.00 hours: Institutional and Popular Offering to the Patron Saint of Estepona. The fruits, vegetables and non-perishable food that will be delivered will be distributed to families in need through Cáritas de San José. On the esplanade of the San José parish.
* 12.00: Eucharist concelebrated by the priests of the area. In the San Jose church.
* 12.30 pm: Throughout the day an altar of the Brotherhood of San Isidro Labrador de Estepona will be installed in honor of the Patron Saint of Estepona and his Holy Wife, with the special collaboration of Juan Martínez Maldonado. In the Casares street square.
* 1:00 pm: Official presentation of the Institutional Offering, which will include a performance by the Panda de verdiales and the dance academy of the Peña Flamenca de Estepona directed by Antonio Trujillo. On the esplanade of the San José parish.
